MILD
Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams
Think of it as leaving a note for your future self. Developed by sleep researcher Stephen LaBerge, MILD uses prospective memory, the same skill that reminds you to pick up milk on the way home, to help you notice that you're dreaming.
- Recall the dream you just woke from, in as much detail as you can.
- As you drift off, repeat: “Next time I'm dreaming, I'll remember I'm dreaming.”
- Picture yourself back in that dream, spotting something odd and realising it's a dream.
- Hold the intention until you fall asleep.
How DreamGate helps
- A soft audio guide for the intention.
- Planned Personal prompts drawn from themes that keep showing up in your own journal, like water or hallways, prepared on your phone.
